Why You Should Move Back To The Villages From Cities

While an overwhelming majority of the population resides in villages, the towns and cities have made it to the intense limelight. Most media stories concern what happens in the metros and megacities rather than the villages where much of the masses live. Shall we blindly worship those conglomerations of millions?

Opportunities Everywhere Of Course

The reason we all flock to cities, of course, is because of the wealth of opportunity! Whether it is facilities for study or job opportunities, it seems that urban dwelling is the answer. If you needed medical treatment for serious diseases, the best hospitals crowd around the city landscapes where paying customers are found in plenty.

Colleges and universities, of course, would work better in comparatively peaceful surroundings in campuses away from the urban disturbances.

Yet the much-maligned city life is also prey to the largest crime network, substance abuse and violence. We are justified in saying that city ways are evil ways as the daily media so often proves.
Diseases certainly multiply faster in cities. Strange new diseases that are making their appearance are unheard of in the rural surroundings.

The American Solution

The Americans are clever enough to get to the crux of the problem. Large populations in the USA reside in far-flung suburbs with little pollution and commute to work across long distances each day. Though time and fuel are spent in daily commuting, the advantages are obvious. A serene life of the village in the lap of nature would bring immense benefits in the long run. The loss of tranquility downtown would usher in stressful experiences.

A lot of city people sooner or later become victims of mental diseases and in serious cases of depression, suicide may be the occurrence. The great extent of stress causing noise, tensions, enmities and jealousies, endless competition are all responsible. Aging happens more quickly in the urban scenario with all that polluted air getting into the lungs each day.

Sedentary lifestyles of endless television viewing besides the hours spent on computers at home and in the office are certainly killing. Neck and back problems would occur sooner rather than later. Scientists talk of bone and nerve problems as a result of being bent over a series of digital objects each day.

Why can’t we simply bid goodbye to cities and digital stuff? That is hardly feasible! We are trapped in our surroundings and leaving it would be merely wishful thinking. Is there no escape then from all the potential hazards of a stressful city-based lifestyle?

We could make adjustments and inject doses of spirituality, nature and action into our lives in order to get an energy boost. The pitiable condition of the millions in the cities with little space to breathe is quite alarming. Even the neighborhood parks seem to be overwhelmed in the search for greenery. The little oasis in the desert has a huge role to play at least for the children in the shadows of the trees, pursuing their innocent games which only possible in the villages

Get Into The Spirit Of Yoga And Meditation

Yoga and meditation would commence an inward journey every individual would be grateful for, though not allied to any particular religion. The journey inwards can be quite revealing in terms of self-knowledge. We are concerned most of the time with exteriors and appearances.

It takes a while though to get to the heart of the self. Belonging to a group in surroundings to your liking could help the process and bring fresh air into a life full of stale city air. The inspirational value of such pursuits can be dazzling.

Even if we do not find nature amidst concrete, we could replicate nature. YouTube sound recordings of waterfalls, the ocean and jungle sounds could become a beginning to discover nature afresh. Everybody, of course, is exposed to the natural wonders on television but they often involve killing that is certainly stressful.

Are You Sure You Cannot Do Without Meat?

While slaughterhouses work at full swing amongst controversies like cow slaughter, the opposite point of view is slowly gaining momentum. Giving up the eating of meat is slowly getting indulged in by larger numbers. While it is true that many butchers would be displaced if we turned vegetarian, is there any reason that the barbarity should continue?

Eat vegetarian diets to feel the difference. You certainly feel a lot happier after not crunching bones and flesh, whether breast, thigh or wings. Science has proved that enough nutrients come to us from vegetarian diets. The only problem is that habits die hard. What appears impossible today may become a reality tomorrow.

The Unique Nature Retreat Is Possible

Recreating nature in small ways to begin with like the flower or the kitchen garden has its rewards. But then what happens to the large numbers that reside high up in the apartments? Balcony gardens maybe and there does exist miniature versions of things that are uniquely attractive too. Bonsai, plants growing along walls and flowing down balconies have to be seen to be believed.

The problem is the shift of consciousness. That little walk in the wilderness behind the apartment block has to be undertaken with enough regularity. Muscles must ache and the lungs should tire. Whether walking or jogging, vigorous activity should be indulged in. Is it an attack of laziness that keeps people away from the gym?

Annual holidays perhaps high on the mountains or lost at the ocean on mystic islands could bring that burst of energy. Everybody indulges in that but maybe only once in five years. Is that really sufficient?

Let nature’s serenity of the villages get into the heart, lung, blood and bones! Seek nature indoors and outdoors. Read, think, eat, and chase nature in the raw. Nature-based activities like trekking and camping, fishing and boating would expose you to that fleeting spirit of nature. Once you have captured that in essence, nature becomes your silent partner for an eternity. You then know that you are safe in the serenity that nature has to offer.

Say goodbye to the concrete jungle woes when you are in sync with the natural essence of the villages. Let go of vain illusions. The time to search for the serene life is now!
