In Coonoor Lamb’s Rock, Sim’s Park, Dolfin’s Nose are famous viewpoints of side seeing.It was a great experience to go through Nilgiri Mountain Railway from Ooty to Coonoor which takes 1 hr approx.
If you go from Bangalore to Ooty
From Bangalore to Ooty route you will get Mudumalai wildlife sanctuary. You can stay there one night.Then you can start for Ooty. Best time to visit in Ooty is May or June in Summer & September to November in winter.In Coonoor, the favorite past time would be bird watching and spotting.It is the best place for photography.Special items to bring from there are tea, coffee,spices,gourmet cheese handicraft items etc.
